Sat. Night @ the Movies– Hunchback of Notre Dame & VOX LUMIERE –

Here’s a little Trick or Treat for ya! The original 1923 version of The Hunchback of Notre Dame starring Lon Chaney. I’ve also embedded some clips from Vox Lumiere’s treatment of the movie, which is the best thing since sliced bread (awhhh! trite cliche are so scary). I first so the Vox Lumiere version on PBS and had to buy the DVD (and I don’t buy a lot of DVDs).

  • Hey Brian:

Thanks so much for the post!

We don’t mind the cliche at all. We’ve got a bunch of tour dates to announce soon, as well as special Vox Lumiere-A Christmas Carol that we’ll be performing down at The Music Center here in LA. I’ll send along a copy when we’re finished!

Again, thanks for the post and for thinking of Vox Lumiere!

    Best, Kevin

  • oops, did a really write Brian. Like you said It’s Rick Jackson, It’s Rick Jackson, It’s Rick Jackson.

  • Rick says:

No problem at all. I’m just impressed that you commented :). Because you’re “The Man”. For those who don’t know–you write all the words and music for Vox Lumiere. I’ve been turning all my friends onto the Hunchback DVD, and I was overdue to praise your ensemble via this blog. A Christmas Carol concert sound like an awesome idea. I’m hoping Vox will be performing in the metro Detroit area someday soon!
